News & Trends
1. Age of Contrasts (Isaiah 60:1-2). Expect to see great contrasts in the realm of good and evil; for example, if there is a lot of negative activity reported in an area, chances are that much good is also occurring at the same time.
2. Age of Extremes since the start of the Twenty-First Century and Third Millennium, the largest terrorist attack on American soil occurred on September 11th 2001, the largest amount of Australian fatalities in a terrorist attack (88) happened in Bali on October 12, 2002; and the worse natural disaster is living memory was the Asian Tsunami of 26 December 2004.
3. Unprecedented Church Growth Rev. Ted Haggard, President of the National Association of Evangelicals, reported at the Assemblies of God in Australia National Conference in Brisbane, in April 2003, that the researchers of the (late) Dr. Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade for Christ, reported that in the next decade one billion people would come to faith in Christ. Wonderful as this prospect is, a price will be required: five million ministers need to be trained and deployed to service one billion new believers. This is a ratio of one minister for every 200 new believers. The truth is that we do not have enough ministers today (Matthew 9:37-38). Every recognized Bible school, seminary, and ministry training institute would have to graduate and place 125 graduates into ministry positions every year for ten years to fulfill this requirement.
4. Teach All Nations wants to do its part in helping people know and serve God in this new millennium. In 2004, the ministry visited Lebanon, the Persian Gulf Region, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Russia. In 2005, confirmed places of ministry include Singapore, Malaysia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Russia, and the Middle East.
